Nasty burn!!

I had to burn some boxes of papers today, a lot of papers, maybe 7 boxes and some other card. I was rushing and it was damp so I put a can of diesel on it... When I lit it it exploded and set me on fire. I dropped and rolled then realised I had burned my arm. I got my arm under the tap for 10 mins and headed out to A&E. The pain was unreal when I was driving and is still now on and off.

I am clearly an idiot!! Burned from my elbow to my finger tips, blisters on my knuckles and by my elbow. All the hair on my face and head is burned to beads and non on my arm.

I will be fine but wow it hurts!!

Can someone roll me a fag, HID is holding me to random....

Don't feel too silly, your not the first and deffo won't be the last person for this to happen too. I personally know two people that made such mistakes. One was fine the other needed a year off work to heal.

I know the feeling, did a similar thing with unleaded, fortunatley I came away unscathed, I do have to say, stupid is as stupid does and I count myself in that comment.

It will go up but needs a higher temperature than petrol. Petrol vapourises at even very low temperatures and it's the vapour that explodess.
Diesel vapourises at a much higher temperature but will still explode if you, for example, pour some on burning papers....
