And I'm about to blow it because I got my first ever eagle today!

Playing my local course Stressholme with Kellfire off here. Course was frozen so it was on temp greens until we got to the 9th and it had started to thaw so they put it back on the proper greens.

Tee'd off on the par5 10th, hit a bit of a skied tee shot but pretty straight, 4 wood 2nd shot into the left rough about 175 yards from the green.

Hit my 20* hybrid and completely lost track of the ball in the sun but Marc said it was roughly heading towards the left green side bunker.

Spent a few minutes hunting around near the bunker but couldn't see it anywhere until Marc walked onto the green looked in the hole and said "I don't believe it!" I thought he was winding me up and wouldn't walk over to check in the hole so he pulled the flag out and out popped my ball!

Tried to play it cool but I could t keep the smile off my face!

A nice nett 1 for 6 points!

Would have been nice to have seen it go in but I can't complain about holing out form 175 yards for my first ever eagle.

Oh and he Marc (Kellfire) beat me on the 18th, not that I care haha.

Well done mate, it's a great feeling achieving things like this for the 1st time, I can still remember my 1st one on a par 4 years ago, 8 iron from about 140 yds, happy days :whoo:

Paul,

It only counts when you hit the right green not when you shank your 2nd shot over the next fairway onto a green that your not meant to be playing:rofl::whoo:

I still remember mine first and only like it was yesterday. Short par 4 hit a low drive that rolled onto the green to about 3ft and knocked in the putt for eagle.

The funny thing was that the course was a 9 hole course and I was on the back 9, but on the front 9 I hit the same drive but to about 6ft and missed it although was over the moon with a birdie.

I've only ever had one other realistic chance at eagle when I played the first hole at a course I'd never played, 2nd shot was just through the back of the green but missed the putt.

Always a bonus to hole out from a decent distance for my first eagle.

Always nice to get an eagle however they come. I remember getting my first one at the 5th at Wimbledon Common. Drove the green and rolled in a 15 footer. Happy days and shame they are almost as rare as me stringing two decent rounds together

Well done Bozza.

I can only recall one such eagle, par 4, howling wind behind, driver up the middle and sand iron straight in the hole.... and no-one saw it go in!

Also the hole I made it on is probably one of the hardest holes to make a eagle on. SI 2 526 yard par 5, I'd be very surprised if I ever come close to asking eagle on that hole ever again.

He's not lying!

Bozza hits a high fade normally and did the same again for his eagle shot. Towards the left greenside bunker and sliding right to what I thought was going to be a front edge finish. The green is elevated so feck knows how it did it but it must have taken the only route possible to slide past the bunker on the left, up the fairly steep bank to the green and then slotted into the cup.
