My Info.
Do you have regular coaching at the moment?: Yes, I had a putting lesson today and I was working on keeping the club face square back and through.

What do you consider to be the strengths of your game?: Short game around the green

Weaknesses?: Long Irons, usually a pull hook

How often do you play/practise?: Play twice a week, practice couple of hours a week

What is your scoring average/handicap?: Scoring average is between 82-85 handicap is pending

Do you keep stats?: No

What is your strike/shot/shape pattern for the following clubs
Driver/Tee shots: Clean, mid-high, draw

Fariway woods: 3 wood off deck is usually a fade, thinnied is the bad shot

Rescue Clubs: Still looking

Long/medium irons: long irons usually pulled, medium draw, short are slightly pushed at worst.

The following clips are a few of my swings from the Belfry.
I have since ammended some things going on in the clips. My stance isn't as wide and my knees are less flexed, I now bend more form the waist.

Neil, My Driver and 3 wood on 18th are probably most similar to my current swing!

Driver 17th
3 Wood down the line
Mid Iron
3 wood splits 18th fairway
My strength
Piching it on
My putting stroke
Pitching too long

Quite scary this Tony as you seem to have a very similar swing to me (up until a couple of weeks ago when I had a go on the Explanar). I used to take the club back on a inside path (and still do a little bit) which meant that the club was pointing across the target at the top.

Your scores are also very similar to mine, the strongest part of my game is also around the green.....were we separated at birth? You're not 36 and going grey are you? You also have the same Mizuno towel as me, free from your fitting session was it?

Really liked your putting stroke, great rythm, wished mine was that good! Interested grip style, do you use a extra thick two-handed grip or just a normal one?

Peter I dont take the club back on the inside anymore. Even at in the Vids I am trying not too but that wasn't long after the changes made by my pro. I know try and take the club away from the body as far as possible before letting it come round to the inside.

In the last couple of weeks I have been seeking my club pros advice on putting, putters and grips etc.

I booked a lesson with him, he wouldn't teach me untill I
A) fitted a two thumb grip so I could get both thumbs n the club or
B) Change to a more conventional grip.

Now this may have seemed harsh but he said I dont do alot wrong and this was really his only concern. I did fit a two thumb grip but hated it so ended up sticking a fatter grip from a wilson club on my oddyesey! Now I have two thumbs on the grip.

I had a lesson with the pro Yesterday and the only thing he changed was the ball position, I had to move it a ball width closer to the body so my eye/ball/plum line was perfect. We concentrated on keeping the club face square on the backswing so it wouldn't be open as i made the stroke.

It feels alot better even with the minute change and I was holing alot more putts afterwards if not leaving them for gimmes!

Great videos, like them again because they are on the golf course. As I said on another post, our swings change Dramatically on the golf course from what they were on the range.

You obviously have a good game with a very tidy golf swing.
As you commneted the knees were bent at address.
I like to make sure that the knees are flexed NOT bent, you correctly said that you should tilt forward from the hips with your kness flexed.

Take a look at your through swing and follow through position. It looks to me that you lose your posture quite quickly after impact
If you see any o the top players and see the position they are in a fraction of a second after impact, there spine angle is still in a similar position as it was at the top of the swing
If you stay down for a fractionof a second longer after impact, you should find that your ball striking improves.

Try this
Stick a tee in the ground a couple of inches after the ball, make sure to hit the ball and the tee peg. This will train your body to stay down as you hit it (when I say "stay down" I mean your body, not your head) keeping your head down as you hit will restrict the movement of your body as you swing forward

Let me know how you get on
A swing from directly front on would really help

Thanks Neil.

I think I get so hung up on set up before the shot and take away, downswing, I forget all about everything that happens after the strike.

I will try you drill and try and get the frontal vid sorted asap.

Many thanks for you kind words and time.
