Is the garden.
I took a photo of the garden and then drew a quick design over the top of it using MS Paint

Like that a lot

Looking good guys
This was mine just after it was finished, and before my kids turned it into a store room for their junk!
Just wish I'd had the foresight to make the ceiling high enough to swing a golf club in.

Looking at your interests in your profile I'm guessing you'll like the upstairs of my 'cave' above the golf sim, will show you it when I see you. Doesn't totally qualify as I didn't build it, just stuck stuff in it. Still to be decorated, beer fridge is in the cupboard left of the wine rack I got them to build into the wall .....

You guys have proper 'games rooms', unfortunately mine is primarily a shedcan't see either of you having bags of cement or lawnmowers scuffing your nice floors.
Out of interest did/do you use the pool tables a lot or does the novelty wear off?

p.s. Won't be giving you a game though - I'm utterly rubbish![]()
That looks to be an attic, if it's a slate bed is the design loaded up to allow for it?

Looks SWEET! I'd have to win the lottery a couple of times to have something like that![]()

Not the lottery but a dull story I'm not going to share on here![]()
LOL, looks sweet what you have regardless of how you paid for it  So you have a golf sim in your garage, how much was the sim? and how high did you have the roof set at?

Yep, they knew what was going up there so I'm hoping so - you can just about see the double thickness trusses on the 3rd and 4th, 7th and 8th trusses where the pool table legs are:

This is the 'cave'. Only just finished a few months ago:

Best bit is the view from the steps though. Good spot for a morning brew or evening contemplation - looks south so the sun rises diagonally left and sets diagonally right....

I'd question whether they were for the pool table loadings or the Velux opening. It's normal procedure to provide a double truss either side of an opening that is outside of the standard spacings. If I were you I'd contact the Truss company and ask them for calcs. I'd not mention why at this stage. if you want I'd be happy to have a look over them for you.
I told them about the pool table and where it was going, (was drawn on a plan I gave them), just made the assumption it was for that
I think it'll be ok. I carried the slate bed up the outside steps with another guy myself so know what it weighs (as in it's not ridiculously heavy) and the truss depth on the floor sections was substatial. Couldn't tell you how thick but certainly much thicker than the roof or upright sections of the truss. About knee height I'd guess? Out of curiosity how would you check without pulling up the floor? Or would you need to do that?
No you wouldn't need to pull the floor up. You ask the supplier for the Truss calcs and they show the loadings that are applied. Can I ask who supplied them? If it was us I could have a look on the system. Generally if the room width is more than a third of the total span you will end u with a deep section floor. If I was you I'd want to check it out with the flashy red motor parked beneath.
