Well after 14 months of trying my head is now hanging (in shame) on Scouser's wall.

He beat me fair and square, bringing his 18 shot advantage to the fore. I was 3 up with 5 to play, and couldn't say I took my foot off the gas, as he finished par,par,birdie,birdie,par (all nett of course, don't be silly).

My god, he was over the moon, forgot to put the flag back in the hole on 17, he was that giddy, couldn't do basic maths on the 18th green, dropped his balls all over the car park. I'm sure he was ringing rent-an-opened-top-golf-cart.com as he was driving out the car park... :whoo:

Little tip Bluewolf - we were playing for mars bars. He also won some Bury black pudding from Qwerty on Monday. Don't bet him any food, money yes, a brown finger - no.

He was 3 over for the last 5 gross, as I was giving him a shot a hole (he is off 24, me 6).

Gary the course has improved vastly in the last 3 weeks, the greens are very soily/sandy and hard (I finished in the back fringe or through the back of 8 out of 16 holes played). Give it a bit of rain and next week they should be getting there.

He must have got home 2 hours ago now - should I put a facebook alert out........:mmm:

BTW - is there a rule on how many hybrid clubs you can have in your bag, I think 9 is excessive.:whoo:
