My name's Liverbirdie, and I've just been beaten by a chomper

Cheers for the game LB.... And to all my fans thank you as well... . I wasn't going to mention anything... I am a humble person....

All I can say is forget playing for money... It was black pudding on Monday for nearest the pin and a mars bar tonight... If only the majors and opens where a decent burger

Ps.... Danny I chose match play purposefully because of our grudge match :smirk:

Play for Haggis, maybe Birchy will let you win

You can request but two conditions

1 it's in reasonable I have heard you lot up there are tight
2 it's not a deep fried mars bar

Well qwerty taught me a lesson in consistency today at his course. I kept up for the front 9, but a couple of wayward drives cost me too many points and Dave never relented. That swing really is like a metronome producing a lovely piercing soft draw every time. Chorley is a fantastic course as well, that played long today in a nasty swirling wind. I'll take him next time at my goat track... Cheers Dave.....

Thanks again for coming over for the game Danny, I really enjoyed it today and it was good to get at decent game in at my home course, it feels like its been a while.
Im sure with that swing mate Youll get a few cuts this year. The more I see of the guys on the Flatcap tour the more I'm thinking its going to be a close affair pointswise over the 6 Games.
Im predicting a tight finish going into the grand Finale at Lee park.

Thanks Danny great game and great company as always.... Looking forward to the game a Gathurst

Swings like the big easy doesnt he, nice and smooth every time

Cant be easy to watch in a head to head

I believe some are even considering paying £50 for putter fittings.

I had a 5 over tonight, with 3 x 3 putts - no wonder!!! Maybe a lesson first, then maybe the fitting.

Qwerty, maybe it should have been a separate thread of "My names Qwerty and I've just beaten a chomper........"

Only joking, Dan!

cheeky boy!!!! Although, to be fair, it would be true on the back 9. The swing deteriorated badly and the short game couldn't scramble it back. Playing Qwerty is like playing the Terminator though. He's relentless. Even when I thought I'd won a hole, he played a blinder and took it back on the green. Fantastic to watch though. If I ever get lessons, I'm gonna start by saying that I want qwerty's swing.

I know mate, he's good isn't he. He just has some bad knitted headwear though - even David Bowie couldn,t look cool in that west lancs woolen bonnet!

I'll have to get up to gathurst, we can play it free with Lee park.

good man. Dave and me have already talked about a game at my place in the next couple of weeks. Would be good to make it a 3 or 4 ball. By the way, there'll be a pm heading the way of all the flatcappers tomorrow regarding an end of season jolly. Hope you'll like it.

Received, excited and will reply after further consideration.

Game for Gathurst - I finish at 4 on a Friday, could be there for 4.45. 5.00 tee off in a few weeks would be great for me, once its lighter for longer, if that works. If not one Saturday or Sunday.
