Some of you may recall a couple of threads I posted recently regarding an ESR from the club secretary, which ultimately served as the catalyst for my decision to move to a new club.
Now, four weeks into my new club, it already feels as though I've been here for a year. We recently hosted a social event where I had the opportunity to forge new connections and was introduced to numerous members, thanks to the club captain. Additionally, I’ve become involved in their league, which competes against other golf clubs in the region. The one fixture I'm particularly anticipating is the match against my old club later in the year.
One of the most gratifying experiences so far was hosting four guests from my previous club over the weekend. They were eager to visit, having heard so much about the new club since my departure. Knowing that they will likely return and share their experience with the secretary (who, by the way, was a member here in the past) reinforces the strong ties I still maintain with my old club, especially with its members.
So all in all the past month has flown by, and I am thoroughly enjoying the sense of belonging and excitement in my new club.
