Dave apologies in advance for taking your username in vein and Kid2 for potentially resurrecting painful memories. Each of the items in the poll cause me problems. Just wondered which, if any, is your Achilles heel...

My problem sometimes is that when I hit a bad drive, I will try and fix it with the next one, often over correcting and going round in circles

I was just going to say you left out the injuries part

I picked Mary Poppins as i could really do with an umbrella to help me get round the course.....:ears:

I'm sorry fella but there is no way you are 'practically perfect in every way' ;)

You got that right ...After Sundays round i could have clicked on
all your points bar the last 2.....I think i covered the rest in various scenarios around the course at some stage.:whoo:

Tasmanian devil? I hit one blinding drive in a blue moon and I'm trying to rip the face off the ball forever more. Guess what? I waste more shots trying to recover than if I were to play the whole course with an 8 iron

No apology necessary Tiger, though for a second there I thought I was in trouble...

I've gone for short game after my horror show on the dancefloor during Sunday's club champs. My putter was colder than an icicle bathing in liquid nitrogen. Unfortanately the weather has been so pants since that I haven't been able to get outside and put things right! I'm hoping it was a blip as prior to that fateful day I'd been playing well. Still, the v-easy in the lounge is sufficing for now :)

I have voted but I'm giving nothing away in case Region3 and me are drawn against another forum pair in the National Matchplay Championships.

ooohhh... dark secrets!!!

Not sure if the Tasmanian devils thingymajig choice means trying to hit the ball too hard or losing tempo and swinging too fast, but I voted for it as they can both apply to me sometimes.

Surprisingly, I don't think I could apply any of the others to myself, other than the Mary Poppins comment obviously :)

I have had to go for swing like a tasmanian devil.
I know when I swing smooth and easy I hit it further and straighter but I have a bad habit of trying to hit the core out of the ball.
That's why the driver has been put in the naughty cupboard for the time being.

Having played in proper wind the other week I was all over the place!!! Game wasn't bad just judgement was poor. Even kept the same ball till the 17th!!
