It must be beneficial as part of a healthier lifestyle. Out in the fresh air, moderate cardiovascular exercise, walking, and some form of impact benefit hitting the ball.

Think the doc means its commonly accepted that you need your heart rate up and out of breath for a min 10 mins 3 times a week to be even loosely described as doing exercise.
