Probably if and when the r&a consider asking them to host the open.
It's got nothing to do with hosting the Open it's all about being 'politically correct'

Fixed that for you
When are Sunningdale and Formby ladies clubs having a vote on admitting male members?
Sunningdale Ladies is no longer called such as of this year and has taken male members for absolutely ages. Certainly since I've been in the area

No subs at Muirfield. At the end of the year the costs are all added up and divided by the membership and they are billed accordingly.
So how come there is apparently a 2 year waiting list according to the BBC News earlier?
I subscribe to the view that the minority reluctantly conceded due to the R&A stance on hosting the Open. The damage was done by the No vote last time - reputation in tatters and not undone by this vote which was years too late.

It was a Yes vote last time, just not by a big enough margin.

Interesting that the R&A are happy to use a male only club for Scottish local final qualifying for the last 3 years, this year included.
Not like there is a shortage of suitable alternatives within 20 miles (Western Gailes, Dundonald, Barassie). Guessing Prestwick is still men only.
This needs repeating to be honest as it is the height of hypocrisy to host it at Glasgow GC
Membership of Glasgow Golf Club is open to gentlemen who have been proposed and seconded by existing Ordinary, Life or Veteran Members of the Club. In addition an application requires to be supported by a further six Ordinary, Life or Veteran Members.
On acceptance of an application for Ordinary Membership the applicant is admitted to Glasgow Gailes as a Gailes One Member. He will have full playing rights at Glasgow Gailes but will not have any voting rights.
Simultaneously he will be placed on the waiting list for admission to Killermont in addition to Gailes. On reaching the top of that waiting list he will become an Ordinary Member with full playing rights over both courses and also voting rights. Applicants for Ordinary Membership are currently being admitted to Killermont after about four years as a Gailes One Member.

To be fair, they did vote in favour of it last time by quite a sizeable majority, just not a big enough majority for their constitution.
