I'll throw in Bridport & West Dorset or Lyme Regis for the South of England. And the view from one or two of the holes at Epsom Downs is pretty spectacular.
You could also put this course in the best and worse course thread.

Played Kington and Llandod regularly. What are your suggestions if you could nominate one each for England, Wales and Scotland.
Here are mine.
England: Kington.
Wales: LLandrindod Wells.
Scotland: Strathpeffer.
Though a good course I could never think of Deal being at all scenic.Ireland: Lahinch
England: Royal Cinque Ports
Wales: North Wales.
Not played in Scotland so can’t comment. But for sheer beauty of a course sat in woodlands and hole layout the best I’ve come across in a summers day is Queenwood it’s just so pretty as a course.
Scotland - Cruden Bay. But there's so much choice up there I could add a few more very easily.
England - Royal West Norfolk(Brancaster).
Wales - Royal St. David's at Harlech.
Ireland - Portmarnock GC, Dublin. Sadly, I didn't get across to the west of Ireland for Ballybunnion and Waterville, or down to Cork for Old Head of Kinsale but maybe one day.
Just realised, they're all links courses.
Depends what you want from your scenery. Deal town is pretty average but I love the views on course across the holes.Though a good course I could never think of Deal being at all scenic.
Cleeve, Painswick or Stinchcombe in this neck of the woods would give a lot of the named courses a run for their money.
Can’t say I’ve ever played anywhere in UK that’s wowed me with views over/around the course. But I’ve never played in Scotland so maybe one day I might!
Spent most of my life well away from ReadingYou've clearly spent too time in Reading!![]()
