Most forgiving driver of recent times?

Without doubt the Callaway FTiQ, it's so forgiving it's practically impossible to shape the ball with it :)

Oh yes, that's what it's called. FTiQ.

Someone at my club has one (fairly good player, off 14?, tends to be in the mix most weeks). Never seen him hit anything but dead straight with it.

Dead straight into the trees, onto the Practise ground (OOB), into the cow field.

At least my balls that start left tend to fade back......that's why I sold the Wilson Spine....

I've got a wilson superlight and thats very easy to hit. They seem very cheap compared to other drivers i've seen but I love mine. I also found the cobra s3 very easy and forgiving to hit. I must point out i've not hit the pings etc so im prob talking rubbish

Sorry I find it funny too. Big Bertha tiny. Remember when it came out. The head must have been twice the size of the then drivers. Just had a look in my old club box. Found an old PowerBilt driver and a Big Bertha 3 wood. Even the 3 wood is nearly twice the size of the driver.

Went up and tried the cleveland classic, k15, G20......

first off i hit big slices with all 3 drivers.... with some quick shoulder correction i was hitting 90% straight... with the k15 and G20 the shallower face was causing some to come out low and some to go high... but the cleveland classic ohhhhhh my god.... when i caught one with that i was carrying about 260-270 with range balls when with my old driver it was about 220 on a ripper..... got a fitting session tomorrow where hopefully ill be able to see what kind of shaft will suit and maybe try a few more drivers aswell :)

I've not tried the Cleveland but I thought the thread was about finding a forgiving driver that you will still get reasonable results with when you mishit it rather than one you can rip 270 when you catch it right?

Maybe the Cleveland is forgiving but as I say, I've not tried it......

when i caught the cleveland off the bottom of the tape and off centre i still got 250 yard drives but with the ping clubs i was hitting em 5 yards off the deck skying them and a few total duffers :)

I recently got rid of my K15 as I simply couldn't get on with it.

Its very draw biased and loaded in the heel. The head was so offset that I just didn't feel confident looking down at it at address.

I now have a RBZ 15 degree which I get as good a distance with and since using that will now get the 19 degree to match it and will no longer carry a driver!
