I Had Titleist 915 F 3 wood .
I would slice it 8/10 times using it from the fairway , the extra distance wasn't worth the risk of slicing it into the rough/trees , so i stopped using it.
I was getting fed up with having such a big gap between my driver and 3 hybrid i got the 3 wood back out .
This was winter 2020 ,so preferred lies' so i could find a fluffy bit to tee it up slightly and started hitting it a lot straighter with the very odd slice here and there .
This continued through out the summer with no preferred lies so step forward to now , I sold it and bought a Callaway Rogue Sub Zero 3 wood to match my driver ,
I've seemed to of gone back to my old ways .
I dont really want to go back to a 915 , are there any 3 woods around with the adjustments of the 915 but may only a few years old ( I never buy new ) ... Ive been looking at the Cobra's and Callaway Epic Flash. My handicap is 18.7

thanks

The advantage of the Titleist adapters is that the head does not open / or close with changes in loft.
Callaway uses a similar design of adapter.
Have you considered a slightly more lofted wood in the first place.

The callaway adjustment method is very similar to titleist in the way of the two cog system. Have you just left it as stock or fiddled? Note the current set up and play a little

Indeed, a 4 or 5 Wood is likely to be significantly better off the deck and possibly also tee-ed!
It's likely that your brain is 'the problem' subconsciously changing your swing for an 'off the deck' shot compared to a tee-ed one. Easily testable by teeing so ball is at ground level.

If afraid Adjusting the current setup isn’t a option as it’s a fixed shaft on the rogue hence wanting to go back to a adjustable option
I was hoping I could get one that I can close the face to see how it goes.
I was possibly thinking of a 5 wood , but really looking for a 15 degree 3 wood I can add + 1 or 2 degree if needed
Also a regular shaft as this rogue come with a x-stiff I guess isn’t helping
what’s your thoughts on cutting the shaft down 1 “ or 2 “

I’ve currently got cobra 3/4 wood which is standard 14.5* and can be cranked down to 13* or up to 16.5*, it’s also got 3 draw settings. This will be going up for sale this week. Would something like this suit?

If not as foxholer has also suggested what about an adjustable 5w? The cobra equiv to mine is advertised as a 5/6w as is 18* as standard and can be knocked down to 16.5* or to to 21*.

You can effectively turn the 3w weak to a 4w or make the 5w strong to a 4w, that’s loft wise and wouldn’t factor in head mass.

Thanks all for the advice , also a special mention to Oddsocks for his assistance
Last night I sold my Rogue and managed to pick up a Cobra F9 for £70
See how I get on the next few weeks, if no good next step 5 wood or practice more
