In terms of excitement, the Masters generally comes out on top, especially now they've got the course set-up spot-on to encourage attacking golf on the Sunday.
The Open will always be the best - the history, the tradition, the elements, the strongest field, the rugged beauty of links courses and the demands placed on every facet of the game.
The US Open is getting better now that the USGA have realised that a drive a yard off the fairway should not end up in knee-high rough!!
The USPGA is dull for me. Doesn't deserve it's status as a major IMO, and comes too soon after The Open and is often played in temperatures that are way too high. Think the fourth major should be either in South Africa or Australia in late September / early October to coincide with their spring / early Summer. And think of the world class courses where they would be held - Kingston Heath, Royal Melbourne, NSW GC, Fancourt etc.
