Just seen a poll on SkySports.Com, asking what was your favourite major of 2011??

At the time of writing, the Masters, was out infront with 44% of the vote!

I personally, much rather enjoyed watching Darren Clarke battle through some of the best weather Britain has ever seen!

Anybody else agree?

For excitement - ie lead changing, possibilities etc - then the Masters was the one. The PGA was just dull - again, the USOpen wasn't a one-horse race all the way but wasn't far off and The Open - if Dustin Johnson had done a DC we'd have moaned........

Best for excitement - THe Masters
Best for everything else - USOpen/TheOpen

The US PGA, never really does it for me!

The Masters is always exciting and really lets you know its the start of summer golf!

The Open definantly lived up to its renowned qualities, what with the weather, and a bubbly old guy, that just walked away with the Claret Jug and a pint of the black stuff!

The Masters was by FAR the most exciting... followed by the USPGA.

It was great that Darren won the Open (esp for me as I had him at 220-1) but exciting? Give me a break... The US Open was fun to watch because McIlroy was so good, but that was joint dullest with The Open.

I dont know why, but I just think the weather makes the tournament more dramatic!

Like wise, the 2010 Ryder Cup! The constant downpour that Sandwich saw this year just made the tournament that little more dramatic and did open up the leader board! Also testing the pro's ability to handle such conditions!

Going to say The Masters, 1 it was such a great 4 days and 2 I watched in Vegas!!amazing!!
but i did think the USPGA was really good, well the last 7 holes on the final day!what a finish!!!

The masters for me. Especially as I won a few quid aswell. It's only the open and the masters that excite me, the other 2 yank majors don't really interest me.

Another one for the Open.

Great seeing the players battling with the elements and Watson's masterclass on Saturday on how to score in tough conditions.

Sunday, with Phil's charge and seeing if Darren could do it or would it be too much for him, then the emotional scenes at the end.

Fantastic.

The Open for me.

The masters was painful watching Rory implode - nice to see the comeback and just for that the US had me watching avidly all the way but for shear joy its got to be the big man and the claret jug. :D
