Not going well then Bill?

Contender for understatement of the year mate , too much going on in the head now , geting in my own way .. golf not half as much fun as it used to be , im not talking bout scores or winning , just not enjoying being out there ,

ah it will sort itself out too ,

I had so many realy bad faults all grooved in, I've been having lessons every two weeks for the past 18months. It's been a very long road but I am getting there, I am determined that I will change my slice into a draw and have a swing that I can rely on and have the confidence that when I hit the ball it will fly where I want it to go, not where it wants to go.

Improvements this year should mean I will be able to break 90 easily and maybe get down to sub 85 stroke rounds.

I'm just debating sticking with my current pro or moving pro's.

Not happy with Bruce then? I'd be interested in knowing why. I'd recommend trying a session with Damien Brooks. I had a course of lessons with him early last year to start me off, then a couple more since. I've always been happy with him. Plus, he's a bit cheaper as he's an Assistant Pro.

I've had 4 so far with some more booked in.

As a recent returner to regular golf after 15 years of playing very little, I played great for the first few months and then it all went to hell. So off to the range I went and there realised I had NO idea what I should be practicing as I had NO idea what I was doing wrong. So down to the club pro for some lessons which have been fantastic. Back to basics of address and rotation and ball striking. I now at least have some idea what I should be doing and sometimes even manage to do it. The ball even flies straight for the first time since the last century:D

Lessons have been good fun, well thought out and taught. As a professional educator I appreciate that doing and teaching are not the same.

So overall I'm delighted with the experience of having lessons and looking forward to my next one tomorrow.

So I'd say - Find a good teacher you get along with and it's the best money you'll ever spend on your golf hobby.

2 so far. One with a certain Scottish forum member that worked wonders and must get to see agin soon! And another with a local pro as it was a freebie with a magazine. Both have worked well in different ways.

None since 1986.

However, I have had sixteen squash lessons and plan on having lot more before the end of the year.

Never had a lesson in my life. Completely natural and self taught down to 12 handicap. If I had the spare cash I would invest in some though, especially some short game lessons.
