Monthly forum poll 2) How has your handicap fared this season?

Went from 34 to 27.5 in three and a half weeks (won two comps). Too much, too quickly! Currently off 27.9, but am now feeling comfortable with the lower handicap, so hopefully a few more shots off next year.

Started the year with 18 ended with 17.9 so a bit disappointed. I had 5 buffers 7 +.1's and 1 cut of .9 I'm hoping next year I'll be more used to playing in comps so won't balls up my scores by getting over anxious about the score. Annoyingly I've played much better on other courses in friendlies when I've regularly shot 84's and 85's

Started at 19, cut to 17 now up to 18.2 and climbing.....things aren't good at the moment, only going to get worse during the winter months me thinks.

Came down 4 shots but 6 0.1's in the last 7 qualifiers saw me gain one back, so down 3 overall.

Have played in 87 qualifiers so far this year. Had drifted up to 20 at the end of last year, but got down to 16 last Sunday - the lowest of the year.

I started on 24.6, currently 21.0. Gutted really planned on getting down to 18, but few bad knocks, and a break of a month and a half through injury put me back a touch.

Time to get back to steady practice, got the V easy coming for Crimbo, get down the range twice a week and play once a week till spring, and hopefully next year the h/cap will come down to sub15.

Started at 27, then played out of my skin for 2 months - cut to 21 - spent the rest of the season trying to play anywhere near it - as Tiger can confirm. Finally managed a 36 point round last week - so hopefully can maintain it through the winter.

Seriously - you have played 87 qualifiers!!!! This is a massive amount - unless its a typo?. I played every one open to me and covered about 16 - 18 this year.

That is some going - I thought I was keen.

No typo. We have a qualifier every Tuesday, Seniors on Fridays are mostly qualifiers, and play a qualifier most Sundays. The rest of the week, I look at golf forums.

Only had 99 last year but hope to break the ton by the end of the year - weather permitting.
