Sorry Dodger, I think you and I will have to agree to disagree. I firmly believe Monty will not become a fall guy should we lose on home soil and will look for any opportunity to apportion blame and the course set up will definitely feature should the worse happen.
He has a historical problem admitting mistakes and has constantly looked to blame caddies, crowds, the media etc when things go wrong. He has strong views on most subjects which is fine but I feel that he is a rather dogmatic guy and finds it very hard to change those views. That is his nature and I think his single mindedness will be a strong suit in his leadership as long as he accepts that the emphasis is on him and his decisions alone and others are not blamed.
Just my opinion and like I said before if we storm to a record winning margin then he'll be vindicated and I'll be celebrating with everyone else and no doubt calling on him for a sainthood!
I respect your opinion but come on put yourself in the real world not your own cocoon, would YOU ever blame what you are saying he will?? in fact would you in his shoes?? No bloody chance,Monty beating at it's best...
Like I said I disagree and not Monty bashing per se. I like what the guy has done in terms of the European tour and the Ryder Cup. I just feel he has a problem when in the wrong about taking critciscm. I'm leaving it there as I've said all I want to on the subject and we'll wait until next year and see. Like I said hopefully we'll win anyway and so the condition of the course and any other excuses will be redundant
To look at him walking down the fairway, you think he was carry the world on his shoulders.. have to laugh when watching the golf with my uncle he always shouts at the screen "come on monthy, gives as a smile"
I cannot believe that a man like Monty who famously grumbles at every sound and movement can eat a KitKat with no regard to other players like he does. Shame on you Monty.
