Molinari, Harrington & Donald

Its been pretty well hushed up but there are very strong rumours that Casey almost walked out during the last Ryder Cup. I'm not sure of the exact details but I believe he was talked into staying after a bust up about not playing.

This did not sit well with his team mates however it also had a lot to do with Faldo.

Interesting. Another thing that springs to mind is that Casey is a bit of a prima donna at times. Not that I could possibly really know, but I suspect Padraig and Luke are easier characters to manage. I'm pro Casey, he's a great player, but it's got to be a solid "team"....and I could see Paul going off on one at any moment....he does it all the time (from what I've heard).

Re: Molinari, Harrington & Donald

maybe something to du with `img` ...is harrington attached to img along with monty !!if so it stinks to high heaven ..who would fear harrington at the mo ..he`s missed 3 cuts in the 4 majors this year ..casey should have got the nod or maybe dyson , quiros ;)

Re: Molinari, Harrington & Donald

Worried about Donalds lack of length and can see that being a real handicap if he plays in the foursomes. Hopefully he won't have to and can rely on a partner more in the 4BBB. Not convinced about him one or one either but he's in so good luck to him and everyone else on the team

What an absolute load of tosh.

Has Donald become a 25 h'cap overnight?? Incapable of reaching par 4s in 2 shots??

He's longer that Jiminez, a whole yard shorter than Poults, Molinari & Hanson bomb it 4 & 5 yards past him!!!

Most ridiculous post award.

Re: Molinari, Harrington & Donald

I think the only reason Casey was left out and Harrington was picked was because Paul was wearing the gimp mask at the side of Colin......can't be any other reason?!

And whats with all these goons on about Donald being such a pea shooter....he may not be the longest but he more than makes up for it with his pristine long/mid iron game.

Lastly I do hope Molinari can deliver his promise that he and his sibling won't get beat....can't see it though.

Re: Molinari, Harrington & Donald

where does all this sentimentality for harrington come from? sure he a couple of good seasons a few years ago. azinger has said it best in his tweet( yes i know he likes winding us up but facts are facts) no wins in two years and 1 (yes 1) win in his last 10 ryder cup matches. hardly a person to fear dont you think. having seen the betting price still being offered for USA (13/8) ill most definately be lumping a few bob on at that ridiculous price. if the european team had been as strong as it could have been i think they would have won easily, as it stands i think wev been weakened substantially.

interesting report in the guardian today says mcginlay and bjorn had been pushing for monty to include players who had been loyal to the european tour, stating that that should be an important factor. well maybe fabio capello should take a look at that maybe he include some players from the lower divisions because of thier loyalty to a lower class of opposition. stupidity!!! im as patriotic as the next man but if monty and his team get thier arses kicked then he has a lot to answer for. theres no room for sentimentality, he has really put himself in the line of fire, needlessly in my opinion.

it may do monty good to remember that european golfers are really so good now BECAUSE they play in the higher quality fields in the US. do we want to go back to the days when the ryder cup was pretty much a walk in the park for the US?
