Seeing as we have had some persistent spam posting, is it time for new members to have to be given authorisation to join?
There has to be a way to stop them.

Some new member requests require authorisation, but not all. Today continues to be a bit of a test - the spammers are joining and posting, or trying to join and not making it past first base, faster than they can be dealt with.

I have seen, today has been a flood of them.
Perhaps its time to introduce a time delay from when someone can register to join and be able to post?

I’m liaising with admin to try and tighten up their processes. As mods there are some limits on what we can do, and as such we can’t always be as proactive as we would like with these nuisance accounts.

But how will I recover my missing crypto?

I appreciate that, and no problem with it. Perhaps if there was an automatic brake on new registered members being able to post straight away it might make your lives easier.:)
We can report the posts, but that doesn't stop them.
Just trying to help, thats all :)

It’ll turn up. Hope my golf swing can be found as easily.

Appreciate the suggestion @Bunkermagnet. It’s something I’ve raised with admin this afternoon and I’ll see if they can come up with anything. I would tend to agree that an initial restriction on new members is a sensible way to go - I know other sites and social media platforms do it, and it may be a solution considered.

In the meantime I’d ask everyone to be patient. If a mod is online these posts can be dealt with swiftly, but that’s not always the case. Please just use the report function if you see anything inappropriate, and as soon as one of us is online it will be looked at.
