mobiles on the golf course

I refuse to let a mobile phone dictate my life.

Me too.

I also have what I like to call 'self control'. You don't HAVE to look at, answer, text or otherwise fiddle with your phone should you have it about your person, but it's nice to have the option.

2. It wont get nicked out of the car, should some thieving scrote happen to pass by.

1. None, and I hope I never have to.
2. So that if I have to use it I am not waiting for a few minutes to boot up.

I was playing with a guy first time who constantly used he`s mobile,wouldnt play with him again.

It must be gettign quite loney as more and more partners fail to meet your exacting standards. I'm waiting for the post about the guy who turns up with a scuffed ball and you walk off the first tee as he has clearly no idea what he's doing

If my playing partners were on the phone, I would take the hint that my company was terrible!

I have no issue with phones being on but I do think they should be on silent and only checked when waiting to tee off on the next hole.

If you want to check your phone while waiting to tee off at the next hole then you are right - your company is terrible.

It says it all really. If you are the one waiting to tee off each time, perhaps you should concentrate more about the golf and less about being constantly "in touch".

Get a life​ before it's too late.
