Mobile Phone upgrade due in ten days.......

o2 have seriously let themselves go over the past few years. I was an o2 customer for nigh on 10 years until they started putting prices up and their customer service went severely down hill.

I now use giffgaff (who coincidently use o2 as a network provider) and get 250mins/unlimited texts/unlimited internet/ for £10 per month on a sim only contract.

Have been monitoring my phone usage over the last few months and a 300 minutes/unlimited texts/500MB data allowance should see me ok. Can surely get pretty much any phone with that kind of tariff for circa £30 per month or less?

Also, I'll get around £250 trade-in for my iPhone 4 to factor in to the deal.
Tesco are doing the galaxy s 3 for £27 a month for 300 mins 500mb and 5000 txts. Not sure if the network is with tesco or O2

I have not heard many say about Tesco mobile yet, yes they use O2 i have a simple phone (galaxy ace) and all it costs is £15 a month and for that i get 250 mins 500mb (upgraded to 1gb for £2.50) and 5000 txts, have not had a problem and guys at work have the i phone and i cant fathom why there is nothing free with their OS. Android for me is better OS for my needs, hundreds if not thousands of free apps.

Just reserved a white 32GB iPhone 5 from Carphone Warehouse. Paid a £29 deposit and they'll contact me in the next few days to discuss prices and tariffs.

Haven't ruled out a Samsung S3 - gonna see what the tariffs are like before making a final decision.

Having just changed from a 4 to an S3 I would say you might be doing the right thing. Cracking phone IMO and you can get it in seductive ( ) white as well. ;)

Only thing that slightly puts me off is its sheer size!!

Yeah my mrs took my iphone and I was fiddling with it yesterday and it seems tiny by comparision, although I don't notice the size anymore. It makes watching video's or sky go very good though

Am heading off this afternoon for a golfing weekend in Hertford and both the guys I'm playing with have the Samsung, so will have a wee shot with them.

I think you're all bonkers.

I have a Galaxy mini which costs me about £5 per month.

That's it.

Can you not keep the iPhone and get a mega cheap deal?
