Mmm - foxy

Blimey, way to smash the all-men-are-arrested-developers stereotype fellas.

Is this really the stuff of a golf forum? And to be posted by the self-appointed Lord of the Forum as well?

Puerile and exactly the sort of thing that, despite the counter protestations, will not encourage women members of the forum. It also provides ammunition for anyone wanting to criticise golf and golfers.

Incidentally, this is not a sense of humour bypass, just exasperation at finding this sort of silliness here, where it is neither appropriate, applicable or relevant.

Toon, to an extend I also thought this post was in poor taste. A bunch of fat balding middle aged blokes judging the finer female form is a bit un-necessary, and a bit fatuous. However, ladies golf does sell itself on glamour. Witness calendars from Gulbis and Sandolo particularly. Both selling them selves, and also good golfers. Ladies golf does need the publicity, because the money on their tours is in decline, as are spectator numbers and any publicity is good for their tour. If it gets a few to turn on to, for instance the solheim cup, then this is a good thing.

Should it be in 'the lounge'? No.

Nothing to stop some of our lady members on here posting pictures of Villegas though.

Oh dear the DOGOODERS are in here aswell. Get a life fellas its only a bit of harmless fun. If these ladies are upset about the picture's, why did they pose for them?
Grow up...........

Don't see the harm in a bit of admiration of the form of some of our top female golfers. Is that sadder than drooling over the new Mizuno irons? I enjoyed the silliness of this post so found it very entertaining. Some might not take it in the spirit it was probably meant, though.

We haven't been posting topless photos of Pammie Anderson after all, so it is actually a golf related post so don't see why it shouldn't be in the lounge. No worse than all the bitching about Tiger or others which goes on in the lounge.

And finding this as an excuse to have a pop at Homer is OOB in my opinion.

He 'runs' the forum pages for the mag and posts a thread that is clearly not in the interests of the readership and one I would have thought GM would not approve of on their forum.

With the power comes the responsibility I'm afraid.

And John, Mizuno irons are unlikely to take offence what with them not being human and all so I can't agree with your comparison on this, or the assertion that this is a pop at Martin. The thread is inappropriate in my (and clearly some others) view and as the person swinging the most weight in here, it is even more so.

And CC07's argument is right up there with 'well, dressed like that, they're asking for it'.

There are enough posts complaining about golf clubs being stuck in the old ages (socks, shorts, blazers etc.) and then you get a thread like this during the Solheim Cup. What message is really being sent here?

Erm.... that in fact the majority of the readership are men (maybe some are Sun readers, too) and that by nature we don't mind the look of an attractive female golfer. Is that so politically incorrect? Franky, if it is then I don't care, as is my right.

If any lady forumers have objections to the post then I haven't heard them so far. At worst I'm guessing they'd say "Sigh, you boys" but, as usual, am willing to be corrected.

We'll agree to disagree on this one, toonarmy.

Sounds like one of them PC councillors who are always trying to tell us whats good or bad for us. You cant use sparklers , you cant fly the Union Jack, you shouldnt eat red meat , you cant enjoy looking at pretty women. Try letting us decide what we want to do . Go write a strongly worded letter to your local MP and let the rest of us get on with living life

Toon, how much money do these ladies receive from looking good? How much money do you think Gulbis and Co receive for dressing the way they choose? I'm sure their bank managers are anoyed that their bank accounts are full of Pretty money. Where these ladies forced into those picture's? I bet not. They sell mag's, how many mag's would be sold if davies was covering the front cover? Cover being the right word there!
Thats why this country is in the state it's in to many dogooders. Telling us what we can and can't do.
Shame on you Homer, couldnt you have posted a picture of Darren Clarke in his jock strap. Then maybe, just maybe Toon would of been happier!
