I may of mentioned it before but I'm looking to get a set of MP-52's. I've tried them a few times now and feel very good about them. The CF centre awaits as soon as I get a booking sorted.

However, I have it my my mind that as soon as I buy them, Mizuno will announce a replacement/upgrade. Normally this kind of thought does not bother me as generally my belief is, if I'm happy with he current product why worry about futures. But we are getting towards the end of the season.

Does anyone know if Mizuno replace their range at the end of season or the start of the new one ?

Thanks.

Most manufacturers will probably be looking to release new clubs either at the end of this season or certainly early in 2010 for the start of next. I would say ask the GM guys (Jezz) but sometimes they get sneak previews or sole rights to trial new gear but aren't able to report it until the manufacturer says so.

At the end of the day, if the clubs feel right for you, is technology and whatever model they bring out next year really going to change that much. That said and sounding really hypocritical now, I'm off to a TM demo day on Tuesday to try out the TP's

I promised myself a set if I got to 10 and just found out I came second yesterday with a nett 65 in the medal (gross 77 - four over going out and only 3 over for the back nine putting and striking poorly - stupid game!) to get cut to 11
What hacks me off is that the competition finished last night but I only find out at 9.00pm tonight and what I got cut to according to the CSS

Don't quote me, but I reckon the 52s will be around for a while longer yet. Released less than a year ago.....they'll still be the dogs danglies even if a new one should come out.
i.i.r.c. the came out in Autumn 2008. If they are planning one for Autumn 2009, we should get the nod in the next few weeks. If you are worried, hang on a bit. Alternatively, get them at a good price and be happy. Even last seasons Mizuno's don't bomb in price like others...(ahem...Taylor Made!!)

Mizuno usually show next seasons lineup in early September. So hold off for a month and see. If the 52s are to be replaced you may well get a good deal on them around that time. When I bought my last set of 57s it was early season but they had been out of seven or eight months and I got a really good deal on them. Now they are about to go out of the lineup you can get them for pennies (virtually).

If we were to wait and see what each manufacturer was about to release we'd never buy anything new. Just be glad your not after TMs :D

Talking in the pro shop this morning about some new irons and the pro asked what I was looking for and I said MP52/62 to which he replied that the new line up of Mizuno irons are to be announced next week and there are 4 iron models plus wedges and rescue irons. I will be sitting by the phone waiting for his call to be the first to sample them and get a custom fit session. :) :)
