Mixed thoughts, new PB but could have been a fair few less

just back with a new PB on my home course.

91 so net 63 -6, it was quite windy but I played pretty good tee to green, didnt realise my score till the end, so close to a sub 90 grrrrr

Mostly used the 3 wood off the tee but the driver wasnt too shabby either.

2 3 putts and a total of 38 putts so as my last round was 31 putts, I know I could have done better.

3 pars, 9 single bogeys (a few missed par putts aswell), 5 doubles and 1 triple. It aint great but just shows me that I am definitely getting there and mostly down to keeping out of the crap or taking my medicine when wayward

out again tomorrow so lets see, gonna play it as a supplementary and hopefully play the same and get my 1st cut, really feel I should be less than 28

I have beaten 90 on another course but it was a total fluke.

95 Sunday, 91 today, new grip and implementing swing changes so guess I cant complain. Caught up with a 2 ball for last 2 holes and they couldnt believe I was off 28, I reminded them of my escapades in the monthly comps lol.

Nice one, PBs are always good. Don't worry about leaving shots out there, ever score I ever shoot could have been better. It's the day everything comes together when the really special rounds happen.

its ok, if its cack tomorrow I am out again Sunday afternoon and if its cack then, I am out Monday, long weekends, kids older = plenty of golf for dad

Well done but just don't get too upset if it isn't so hot tomorrow. You know its in there and everyone thinks they've left at least one shot on the course everytime so don't get too stressed.

well back down to earth, 102... played crap, every tree I took on I lost, lipped at least 6 putts

I was half decent off the tee tho and the 3 wood was immense. Going to practise my hip turn and deffo my irons as I seem to be struggling with them on par 3's.

Nearly snapped my 9 iron over my knee at one point but a quick ciggie and I was calm again

The good thing is at least you know you can do it mate. Thats is what makes us high H/C as we can not do that really good round consistently. Your next round will be great mate.

did you decide to sell your irons or stick with them ?

sticking with them, a change of irons isnt going to dramatically change my game, my distances are consistent when I swing consistently

besides they look nice in the bag and at address

on the lookout for a gap wedge for them now, rare as rocking horse crap but pop up now and again as pw is 46 1st wedge is 54 and hate gripping down on pw for 100yd shots
