At last the course is open. A bit wet with tee boxes and a couple of temporary greens but it's open.

Life is good you may think.

Not at the moment.

Work means there's no chance of weekday rounds as it's dark when I finish. Weekends are the only time I can possibly get a game in.
Hitting the range tomorrow night for a practise session. Not ideal due to hitting off hard mats, but it's a chance to swing the clubs. :)

Club subs due by the end of the month. Called up tonight after work. It was closed and in darkness. Must try and get away earlier tomorrow.

So much planned for my golf this season in the way of practise and playing. Just can't wait to get cracking.

You may see this post as the rantings of a miserable old goat. Maybe? I just put it down to frustration at not getting out there.
Absolutely love the game! ;)

Anybody else feeling the pain and frustration like me?

I hate only getting out at weekends to play at the moment. Still the joy of being a civil servant means flexi afternoons in the summer to get out. I'll make do with a few midweek range sessions until it gets light in the evenings (not long now) to get my fix

I havent played a round since the 29th Dec and up to then it hadnt been for nearly 8 weeks between rain frost and snow. :( :(
Was due a round last sunday in a comp and again course closed due to frost.
This sat i have to work so its not looking good unless sunday is playable weather permitting..
Im loosing it as iv retired from the football and im bored now at the weekends due to not being able to play golf.
Cursed weather

it's looking like I might get out this weekend after working three on the trot.

new playing partner, just joined the company from the raf, he used to play off 7 but hasn't played for a couple of years. I might learn something though.

I feel your frustration, really wanting to get out on the practise ground and hit some balls but its just so damn cold. I think it's pointless trying to practise chipping at the driving range too. Going to get there tonight and hopefully play next three or four days as i have some time off but might need to wrap up warm.

Roll on the sunshine and warmer weather. So hard to make the most of any free time at the moment.
