Miss the old classic drivers

Petron Impala were the first woods I owned. I had a persimmon three wood made for my 18th and a Dunlop Maxfli driver and 5 wood.

Still think my Callaway steelhead + 3 and 5 woods were the best I've ever owned

My 2 favourite old drivers were a Wilson Haig Ultra with a superb leather grip, stitched up the back. One of my first proper clubs which I got when I was about 12.

The other, perhaps surprisingly was a Slazenger Plus. Lovely deep face.

Both were laminated but felt great.

Also had a set of Jack Nicklaus Muirfield Persimmon woods (still got them) but I was never able to hit the driver as well as that Slazenger.

First metal driver was a Ram Zebra (still got that too). Black head, black shaft. Cool.

Still got my MacGregor Eye-o-matic T85 persimmons in the loft - beautiful looking golf clubs. My first metal 'wood' was a Callaway Steelhead driver. It was getting overtaken by large headed metal 'woods' but my pro reckoned I just wouldn't be able to move from my MacGregor 3 wood (which I used off the tee as I couldn't hit the driver) to a new large headed driver. Like others here I just loved that Callaway :)

Unfortunately I'm not old enough to have used persimmon clubs, even though they were beautiful. First driver to hit my bag was a Titleist PT. I would love to line up some of my favourite drivers and hit them just to see how drivers have evolved and if I hit the newer ones any further, as I do not think that I do. My favourite drivers I have owned are:

TM Ti BUBBLE II
TM R540XD TP YS-6 shaft (crazy ass distance but got banned)
Titleist 975JVS Tour Spec
