MIGHT have just found an absolute bargain!

Sorry chaps.

I'm not getting them. Waited in until 3pm, then phoned the shop to ask when to expect my delivery. They said "it was obviously a mistake, and we can't let them go for £10 each. You should be getting an email explaining this any second."

I don't mind not getting the bags, but I've got to be honest, I'm a little pissed off that I waited in most of the day. No communication, and still (Saturday morning) I've not received any emails. Had I not called to find out, what would have happened is: they took my money, had no intention of giving me any products, and just didn't bother telling me.

And my refund will take 5 days.

Like I said, nothing ventured nothing gained, and I really don't mind about the bags. Just a bit of poor customer service.

Hey ho!

As you say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
But here's a thought. They might (just might) have honoured the mistake if you'd only ordered one? But with three, they'll know that flogging them on is the most likely outcome and so won't play?

I did wonder about that, but like I said, I really don't mind about the bags. (Incidentally, I wasn't the only one to try and buy them at this price. Some people tried to buy more than 10!)

I'm just a little annoyed that they didn't tell me that they wouldn't sell them to me. A quick email would have been fine.

Anyway, I'm over it now. And although I didn't really need a new bag, now I definitely want one!

If it was my shop i would have said " it was a mistake to advertise them at that price but as a good will gesture we'll sell you ONE at trade price"
That way they haven't lost anything and keep a happy customer

Decent compromise. I assume there is no legal recompense if they mistakenly advertise at an incorrect price if you can prove that's the price it was on when you ordered

There is no legal recompense. The advert it or pricing of the goods comes under " invitation to treat " and the shop is not bound to sell if a mistake has been made.
