Midges

We have mossies and other nasties and currently nursing a very swollen left arm having been bitten (again) on Saturday. Only had my flipping jumper off for about 3 holes out of 36 :angry:

Have been using any repellent with DEET in it and was bite-free until Sat when I didn't think I'd expose any skin to the blighters.
 
It's a love it or hate it solution but Marmite is the way forward. Eating it rather than smearing it on. Not sure what it is that's in it but if you eat a lot of it for 3 or 4 days before you go and while you're there you won't get bitten. Also works with mosquitos as I found out on a holiday with my ex-wife when she got bitten loads and I was absolutely fine.

as in my sig. im allergic to wasps, my GP says DEET is the stuff to keep the nasties away.

I cant believe this is still a problem.
I used to get bitten back in the 70's that's why I started smoking.
Have the boffins not come up with a solution yet?
