Michael campbell

Had a shocker today is last after an 83. Really is a shame as he seems to have lost it at present. Reminds you a bit of what happened to Ian Baker Finch.

I have had a quick look on his website and he is playing in Abu Dhabi this week, well Thursday and Friday at any rate. He is playing with Thomas Levet and Peter Hanson.

Its a shame as he seemed a nice guy. He launched his own clothing range to raise money for the Maori's. I hope he can find something to get him on track but he's ben struggling for a while now

Word must have reached Danny Willett about the prospect of seeing Smiffy swing at WH and it affected him so much he shot a 77

Michael made 19k last year, missed more cut's than any other "top" pro. He is a shadow of his former years. I watched him at the Irish last year and it was if he didnt want to be there.
Maybe he's been partying with tiger.

Campbell's slide pains me immensly. He's a top fella and I met him at a tournament years back. During the practice round he was chatting to anyone watching him and we probably talked for a good hour. Next day I followed him for the front 9 and he recognised me and we chatted again. A really nice Guy and, obviously, once a very good player. No idea what's happened but every now and again he shows a spark that its in there somewhere - he just can't find it.

I don't think it will be long before he calls it a day unless things start happening.

I saw him at an exhibition in 2006, and he hit the ball beautifully. He did a range session showing how he warmed up. Hit tow wedges and they landed about 2 foot apart. Someone said "land the next one in between those two" and he hit another and couldn't have put it more in between them if he had walked down an placed it.

From what I HEARD, he was living in Brighton and practiced at East Sussex National, just up the road, and then suddenly he didn't anymore. Not sure why. Now he has upped sticks and moved back to New Zealand/Aussie. Good player but suddenly his game just went off the boil, I hope he gets it back soon, nice chap.
