Mens wrist watches

Lovely 😻
Need to find a steel strap now, speaking of which how the bugger do you get the strap off 🤯

Strap changes are easy enough - assuming there are no holes in the case sides, from the back, thin penknife between case and strap and push towards centre of strap. That'll dislodge the spring in the pin. They can fly out, so be careful, or you'll need new ones.

Uncle Straps are worth a look for a variety suitable for Seiko.

The watch suits that strap.
I think so too, if I was to change it I would put a brown or blue NATO strap on it…

The Seiko super oyster steel strap is nice. If you can find one with solid curved lug ends it looks and feels better.
The rubber strap is tight. Use the smallest flathead screwdriver you own and really lever it off the lug to compress the spring bar. Reading glasses will help you see what you're doing and stop the flying spring bar from blinding you.
Hopefully the previous owner kept the original chunky spring bars. Don't lose them. They're way better than normal ones.

I really like the beads of rice strap on that website, am I right in thinking you need to buy the end links separately?

Can anyone recommend a good watch repairer? I have a 30yr old Raymond Weil with a broken face and needs a service and proper strap .Stockport/ Sth Manchester area

I'm actually not sure, but this is what it says on the ad...

What's included

One bracelet, one pair of end-links, one pair of 2.5mm spring bars.

It’s worth buying a special tool like this:

Bergeon is the original maker of such tools but much dearer.

However, as you are buying a metal bracelet you will have (most likely) to size it by removing some links. This can be truly painful so it’s worth buying a full set of tools like:

That will serve well for all watch needs 🙃

I'm looking for some advice. This is my late Father-in-Law's old Omega Speedmaster. It's been serviced and repaired by Omega, but we have no idea of its value, either for sale or insurance.
I wondered if anyone on here would have an idea or could help. Thanks in advance.

What year is it?
Do you have the box and papers?

That is the very nearest I can get to it. The bezel is different but the strap looks the same. The watches have loads of different Bezels. I was struggling to match the strap but eventually found that one. The Moon watch on the dial says Professional. On yours it say Automatic. I stand corrected but my moon watch and I think all moon watches are old style manual wind up.

It's a Speedmaster Reduced. Slightly smaller than the Moonwatch and auto movement.
