Mens wrist watches

I've always wanted a Tag, not sure why, maybe because I think they look really cool 😎
I used to to have a Tissot back in the early 90s, no idea what happened to that watch.
I have a Tag Aquaracer calibre 5 automatic I am selling.
£1200 was just going to sell it on eBay cost £2800.
It’s hardly been worn as I don’t wear a watch anymore.
If you want I’m sure we could come to some arrangement.

Hey chaps and chapettes, I may be on the hunt for a new watch but I need some guidance. I’ve had an Apple Watch Ultra for the last 2 years, great watch but I just don’t use any of the smart functions at all, seems a bit of a waste really so I may shift it on and get a normal watch. Looking at spending under £1000 so no Omegas etc 🤣
What would you recommend that’s not too old fashioned looking but also still sort of classical? Buy new or something second hand?
Try Longines, Citizen, Tissot or Seiko.

@Beezerk have a look at Sinn and Fortis, would have to be second hand, but both quality brands.
I’ve got a Fortis B42 Marinemaster and honestly, one of the best watches I’ve got.
Both are great brands. Sinn is rather special but would be above 1K even 2nd hand I believe.

Just upgraded my £8 bargain buy watch for a £49 [sale] citizen one.
The £8 one was a 70th birthday present that I chose and has served me well by telling the correct time every day for nearly 7 years.
The strap is now a bit worn and i have a grand daughter's wedding coming up so i splashed out.
New suit next, first for over 25 years, probably see me out.

I know taste is very relative.... I must say, i do like some of the C Ward designs over those from Rolex/Omega... but obviously does not have the same aura..

The watches they were knocking out 10 years ago were a bit more understated...

Some of their designs have gone a bit blingy recently. Although I like this because it reminds me of my old Seiko "Orange Monster" dive watch...

The Trident second hands are genius.

Pictures, or details at the very least. No price needs to be quoted ;)

Ha ha, a Seiko SKX007 in very nice condition, it wasn't expensive at all but I really like how they look. They seem to have a weird cult following despite being on the cheaper side, there's also a big "modding" scene for these watches so I could go down that route at some point. For now I'll just enjoy it as it is 👍

Really nice watch. Had one for ages but sold it because it was just sitting in a drawer. It's a chunk - you won't need to go to the gym.

I’ve got a soft spot for old Seikos - had a Speedtimer 5 from 1974 and loved it until I jumped into a swimming pool with it in by mistake..gutted. Still think they are good value collectibles under 1k mostly

I've got a Tag F1 which I think you can pick up for under 1k now. But one I'd definitely recommend is a Tissot PRX, some lovely colours, I've got the baby blue dial.
