Once you find the range how do you measure?

Click on the button in the toolbar with the ruler on it. When the Ruler dialog box appears set it to yards and "Line". When you move your curser over the map you will get a cross hair. Position it at the startpoint, click, then move it to the end point and click.

Wow ............Its accurate I have just done a cricket pitch...came out at 21.4 yrd a pitch is 22
