Anyone watch or seen highlights of this fight?

What a weird end to the fight. Dont want to spoil it for anyone still waiting to see it but you'll know what I mean when you do.
 
I still have absolutely no idea why Ortiz has his hands down. Yes he apologised again but then doesn't have his guard up. The ref has already said 'Let's go' what's Mayweather supposed to do? Say "Oi mate I know you just tried to Scottish kiss me but do you want to put your guard up before I turn your lights out?"

+1 exactly how I see it. Some people don't like Money because he brags and is flash etc....but he has the tools to back it all up.
 
It was the cheapest of cheapshots, but I can't say I blame Floyd after Ortiz headbutted him!

Well, they were both cheapshots of sorts, but you're right. floyd was boxing within the rules and took his opportunity. Ortiz should have had his hands up, simple as that. All my american friends are going nutso over Floyd's shot...They seem to be neglecting the headbutt that happened moments before.

That's because they are American. The US has an inbuilt ability to ignore the past and only focus on the most recent event. For example funding and training Al Qaeda to cause trouble for Russia...
 
Nice one Mayweather! Completley agree with what he did.

If your going to Butt your opponent, be prepared for the gloves to come off.

MORE FOOL ORTIZ for not having his guard up after topuching gloves. Touching gloves is like footballs drop ball. Once its done, play on!

Mayweather had his guard up, he just took his opportunity! Well done!
 
I love the interview afterwards. Mayweather is asked by Larry Merchent to describe the incident and he says "Hook, right hand and that's all she wrote!".

When Merchent questions whether it was sporting to hit him he says "Protect yourself at all times" and then has a rant at Merchent saying he knows s*** about boxing to which the 80 year old Merchent replies "I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass."

Merchent then goes on to interview Ortiz who claims the headbutt was an accident!!!!

You couldn't make it up...
 
It is all a bit dodgy shall we say. I am glad he won after the headbutt but it didnt feel satisfactory as such in the way he won. Ortiz done majorly wrong in the headbutt and deserved to be knocked out. Floyd played to the rules and you cannot ask no more than that. Only thing that makes it a bit dodgy for me is that Ortiz looks like he is talking to the ref.

If it would of been the other way round I think Floyd would be going nuts over it, but due to the headbutt before hand I dont think Ortiz would dare come out and claim how he has been done by a cheapshot.
