I played in our monthly medal on Sunday and shot a 79. This included eight bogeys (
2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 12, 17 and 18) and one birdie (1).
So, a gross 79 - nett 72.
No doubles or more to take into consideration.
The cards were checked and verified by my marker.

Now, I've checked our club website and apparently I had a gross 78 - nett 71 and I've been cut 0.2.

We must have been both wrong....

Confused? Yes, I am.

DQ, 6-6d?

Now there's a dilemna, do u now go and see your H/Cap sec, explain what u thought u had scored, ask to see card again, go through card, hole by hole, and risk DQ......................???

Or u just going to take your cut and say nowt........???
Conscience time

I thought you could not be d q ed for signing for a score higher than you scored , only less ????

Maybe the thread title had you in mind.

Rbum is convinced his score was 79 but it was published as 78 - so he could have signed for a gross score on a hole which was lower than he actually scored.

It would be interesting to know what went wrong, particularly if the error was in inputting scores onto a computer.

Thats what I cant understand, You have to input your score, hole by hole ,and gross/nett, therefore double/triple checking, Be interesting to find out what has gone wrong, surely the question has to be asked, even at the cost of a .2 cut !!!

I've spoken to our handicap guy and apparently 'I can't add up' - whatever that means. I dropped eight shots (all bogeys) and birdied the first - fairly straight forward even for my rudimentary maths.

I'll be checking this on Sunday and I'll update the forum accordingly.

We have to enter our scores via PSI and verify them back to the card before putting them in the box. In theory it means your scores should match. Errors and lack of time taken to double check still means mistakes are made
