Well, I had my singles semi final today, was playing a fella off 5, turned out to be a nice fella too.
Started with halfs at 1 and 2, I had a putt at 3 for the win, but missed the putt, halved 4 in par. Then hit what i was a great shot at 5, but it was just short and landed in the bunker, lost the hole. Had a shot on 6, and was looking ok, next to the gree, in 3 so thought I'd get a half, but lost it, was guttet. Halved the par 3 7th, both on the green, and 2 putts, my ball was tracking but came up short!! Hit a great drive up 8 and solid 7 Iron just left of green, bumped and run to gimme distance to get it to 1, made great par at 9 after putting in the trees off the tee, but lost to a bird. So, 2 down at the turn, creamed my drive down 10, and hit 3 wood to just left of the par 5, messed my chip and halved it in par. had a shot at 11, but made a 6, fortunately got a half. Won 12, halved 13, where my opponant made another birdie, But I had shot 4 there,so still one down. Made a great par on 14, holed a ten footer for it, very happy as thought I'd be going 2 down. Parred 15 to go level, and halved 16 in pars. last shot on 17 and made 5, opponant did too, so went one for first time in the game. But! Standing on 18, hit a terrible drive, went right, straight for the trees, but was fortunate that it came out, made the par 5 in gir as did my opponant, we both hit our first putts shy, and I had a par putt from 8 feet that would give me the win, hit it solid, middle of cup, cant believe I won, but i am very happy with how I played. Really good match, very tough. Very nice chap too. looking forward to the final now!!
