Has anyone got any recommendations for courses to play in/or close to Marbella this summer?

I'm organising a 3 round trip in June, so 3 favourite courses would be great.

Cheers

Marbella Golf Club
Alcaidesa
Almenara
TorrequeBrada
El Paraiso
San Roque
Valderamma

All of these are worth checking out. Valderamma obviously very expensive. My choice would be Marbella though. Terrific course and club.

Cheers,

Snelly.

Like anything else it depends what you want to spend, Valderrama is just down the road ... about 300€ a round I think :). Marbella GC itself isn't a bad track (I've played better) but is good for the money and the clubhouse doesn't rip you off. Monte Mayor is one to say you've played, not too expensive but don't even consider not having a buggy. La Cala has 3 courses to choose from, played the "Americas" which was fine. Another worth a look is Alcaidesa further down towards Gibraltar but fantastic views and great course. Nearer to Marbella is Atalya which is another course I've played and would be happy to back to.

Sadly, Monte Mayor has gone bust. Not sure if you can play there now or not.

This the list I'd already come up with so far, just finding it hard choosing three!!!!

- Marbella Golf and Country Club
- Los Naranjos
- Santa Clara
- Santa Maria
- Rio Real
- Aloha Golf Club

Cheers, apart from Marbella didn't have any of them on my list!!!! Oh good even more to choose from now!!!!

Have had a couple of golf trips to marbella, 3 games each time, played santa maria and los naranjos twice and the 3rd game each visit was rio real and one of the la cala courses don't remember which one, santa maria was my favourite, some of the group found the la cala course a little tight. Lots of choice of good standard courses, hope you enjoy.

I played Marbella and def worth a game.

Played all 3 La Cala courses and I literally used the driver once and only when swinging well. Mind you in that searing heat I found a 3 iron only left an 8 iron or less to most par 4's. shot my lifetime best 3 rounds in a row there. Love warm golf
