Making your own equipment?

Wasn't sure whether to post in here or not as it's sort of golf related.
My question is, do any of you make your own equipment for golfing?
I dabble a little in knife making as a hobby and have a few offcuts of steel that are no good for blades. I've been thinking about what to make and it struck me that a pitchfork would be great. Nice polished steel tines and a mahogany handle. I'll post up progress as I go if people are interested, but would love to hear others' experiences of making their own equipment.

Pitch fork is ok but if you make a club it must conform to strict rules.

I made a club cleaner from two brush heads in a Tupperware box for cleaning club head when practicing as club gets really dirty.
Just add water and off you go very similar to ones you see on golf carts.
works a treat stiff one side softer the other.

Yeah clubs and balls are a different thing altogether and I wouldn't go there.
I'm thinking more accessories. Personally I find a lot of the stuff you can buy is cheap, nasty and garish. Of course they are, who would pay good money for a quality pitchfork? The ones who have that money to spend probably don't repair anyway - they'll have a caddy for that or something

I've made a few bits and pieces.

I had a friends lad here with me on work experience, we machined a putter from an aluminium block. I've made pitch repairers, Umbrella holders, DMD holders.

I too have made dmd holders. I also turned a rather nice brass fitting to mend an old trolley.

So far this year I’ve made a steering wheel holder for my Xbox and an isolation cabinet for my guitar amp speaker.
Not exactly metalwork but they worked a treat.

Made my own shaft spine alignment tool but it was simple job.

My FiL was an engineering fitter and made loads of his own tools. One for ensuring rivets went in straight on aircraft wings etc won him an award from De Haviland.

I used to make some of my own when I DIYed on car repairs.
