Madeleine McCann - Is this the end?

It does sound pretty convincing some of the details which have been released.
I'm not getting involved in a petty squabble whether she should or shouldn't have been left, a little kid is missing and presumed dead, I just hope they gather enough evidence for a conviction and let the parents have some form of peace at last.
 
Unfortunately the McCann debate gets shut down very quickly so it’s very hard to give an opinion on the subject. I suspect this new link will end up like the other links.

I see nothing in any of the reports that suggest anything new has been learned about the actual events
Some dodgy german was in the area and talking on a phone in the evening (but they don't know who to)...and......eh nope thats it case closed
Truly bizarre, regardless of any thoughts on the rights and wrongs of everything else to do with this truly sad case for all concerned

I pray that the McCanns get closure as a result of the current investigations. Losing a young child under any circumstances would be awful - and over the years they have been subjected to some vile speculation and attacks on their character.
 
Can anyone recall seeing the "distinctive campervan"? Seriously. 13 years. White van with yellow trim - guy down the road has one!

You never know. Way back then someone in PDL might have seen and thought about such a quite distinctive looking camper van, but for whatever reason never mentioned it - but it has stuck with them. It might have been parked very close to their own car in a car park and they couldn't easily get into their car and were worried about such a clapped out vehicle scratching their car...anything...

Many of us are able to recall quite clearly things associated with events that happened 13yrs ago - after all it's only 2007. I had not long started a new job in 2007, and I can remember quite clearly some events and people associated with that new start. You just never know what hangs around in your head.

Unfortunately that’s what happens when you leave your small child alone in a foreign country whilst you go and have a meal with friends. They have also be very lucky to be able to have a significant amount of resources available to them To continue the search many other parents have lost children through no fault of their own and nothing done.

And also very lucky to not be charged with child neglect!
 
From what I heard on the radio, the Portuguese police need to raise charges and then apply for extradition, but it was likely he's got to finish his sentence in German prison,so no it's not going to be happen quickly and imo we should spend no more on the case.
