Can I be the first to congratulate Luke Donald on his emphatic victory at the WGC World Matchplay.

Unbelievable golf, all week. Thoroughly deserved.

Love watching him play. Sweet swing and what a shortgame. Even Kaymer's swing looks like a hacker's lash in comparison. Just beautiful. Well done, sir. Well deserved.

Yes, a stunning weeks golf from a player who was most definitely on top form going into the event.

So much for his critics who slated him for not playing earlier in the year and for those who say he isn't long enough for todays courses.

Well done.

Not sure I agree with top form DCB that 79 in the Northern Trust second round was abysmal and meant a missed cut! That said he was on fire this week! Just goes to show if you are on your game being a short hitter in matchplay can be an advantage ;)

Inspirational stuff!!!

What was more impressive than anything else (imho) is when he lost his 3-up lead, against the number 1 player in the world and everything was crumbling around him, he found the strength, calmness and cool to re-focus and dominate the back 9. Unbelivable fight back where most others would have cracked.

I really hope this opens the flood gates for him to win more events and maybe even a major.

The top 4 golfers in the world are all european and 3 of them are British. I love it!

Excellent result for the lad, true professional with a swing to die for. Hope he does well in the majors this year and bags one, he deserves it.

Had to record it last night though and come back to it about 9pm, those adverts every 5 minutes are so annoying.

Never behind once in a WGC matchplay event?

Unbelievable.

He has a game to die for and is a thoroughly nice chap to boot.

Bet Kaymer's caddie copped an earful afterwards though...
