Good appointment imo. Certainly has the stature in the game to attract top players and not take any bs from them either. Giggs to carry on learning and taking over in 3 years time.

I don't think he is the right man. He is too autocratic, players may not come and others may leave. He has no EPL experience. A good indication of his talents as a tactician and how he adapts the team will be seen at the World Cup. If he is good he will survive in the EPL.
The real issue with Utd was to ageing defenders and not enough cover there for injuries. Add that to Moyes inability to play an offensive game and they were shafted from the beginning. Utd play a certain way and to change that is wrong, it's their strength, it's like Liverpool have always played the passing possession game...

Good manager as the stats says , but that is all history , the future is not red , there are many problems at man u with the players , Rooney and his wages for a start , no champions league so who would want to go there if a same offer is on the table from a club in the champions league .............., Liverpool were a great club with champions league history and they fell out and since 1991 they have been in the top 4 how many times , there is more to having a good manager if you going to do great things , a poor start next year and just watch out , utd need a new back 4 and at least 3 in midfield , that 7 players , they have big debts and i cant see them paying Rooney type wages to 7 more players plus Rooney and Big Head RVP , Moyes was not that bad a manager , the players did not play for him just like Sherwood at spurs ................one one has a right to be great , just because you had it before does not mean you have it forever .....................EYF

After reading this I can't wait for him to take charge. A manager should take control of the press. Fergie took no prisoners & it worked for him.
I doubt many journalists worried about asking Moyes a question like they would Fergie.
