This year 4 of us have decided to club together and form a small syndicate. 2 lines on every Friday ,Saturday ,Wednesday and Tuesday draws.

As syndicate manager I have just purchased £64 worth of tickets online to see us up to the end of January. I won next to nothing doing it individually for about 15 years so thought why not give it a try. Camelot says 25% of jackpot winners are syndicates so heres hoping.

Anyone on here part of a syndicate? Any winners?, near misses? hard luck stories?

Your right.im in the process of starting one myself.
Also lucky dips are the way to go.
Individually I have been doing 2 lines since it started and have never changed my numbers.
£84 is the most ive ever won.

Yes part of one at work, I think we have 30 in the syndicate, quite often I get an e mail saying we have won £25, waiting for the big one! My missus organises one at her work with 12 in it, she has a right battle sorting the payments out as some just are a right pain keeping up to date.

No near misses, butif there are 3 times better odds winjingonyourown why go as a syndicate

You have to be in it to win it. My OH pocketted £20k over Christmas in one of the lottery raffles.

New driver time for me!

We stopped our 6 man syndicate when the price doubled. We never missed a draw Wednesday and Saturday since the lottery started, we had a good few £10 wins, 1 win of £400 for 5 numbers on a Wednesday night, I also stopped my twice a week individual.

It can get complicated with tax if you win as a syndicate. Think theirs something you can do when setting the syndicate up so you don't get screwed.
Might be worth looking into.

I'm in a work one. Have you written yours up.

Sort of yes. I applied for a syndicate pack from Camelot but haven't see anything come through yet. So I printed their syndicate form of and have 3 people so far complete it. Its with the 4th person who needs to return it to me so I can get it signed by a witness. In the meantime everyone has been sent the tickets with a covering email.

Even though the 4 of us are close I think its better to have than not, just to put other peoples mind at rest. I'll be OK because I am the one buying the tickets:rofl:

you will need it for tax reasons apart from other legal issues.

I run a small 6 person one at work but since the price went up we now play the Irish one instead. We play all three draws Wednesday and Saturday but only 3 numbers only need one win a year to get your money back however we're never going to be able to retire off it.

in a group of 14 at work that seems to win the small amount near enough every week. My 3 man one that i run with my 2 mates never seems to have any luck

When I did a syndicate some years ago, to avoid problem payers, I just did a number of set weeks and took the lump payment by a certain date. If anyone hadn't paid they wern't in - simple!

My brother was in a small syndicate with his wifes family, they shared a 5 million jackpot which was 1.25M each.
This was back in 2001 so I asked for a Lotus Elise for xmas :D he got me a toy BMW Z3 :(

10 of us at work got 5 and a bonus ball back in 2007, we got £97k, £9700 just before our wedding, nice new car for us.

£97k when you were so close to millions is a bit of a kick in nuts. Still £9700 is better than nothing.
Think it was 4 & bonus I had 1yr,if my mrs had been born 1 day earlier I'd have won £110k:(

The 10 of us were well chuffed. How much did 4 and a bonus get?

Looked either side of our win to see what 5 and a bonus got and there were pretty similar, there was a 200k once when a only couple won. The syndicate has doubled in size now though.

Your syndicates seem to winning more than me. There are 160 of us in sub groups and play around £2400 a month with only 4 numbers at the most.
If there is anyone running a syndicate here then I am more than happy to join. No point playing on our own since the price of the ticket doubled.
