Looks like i'm back...

I've had to start from scratch ....

But what about a putter I hear some of you more switched on guys saying. Thats the only snag as I've always been a fussy bugger and only used my original 2 ball putter since I bought it 12 years ago. They are too expensive 2nd hand (min £55) so i've got to find an alternative. Do I suck it up and spend £60 on a brand new 'white hot #7' as i'm a mallet type of guy or downgrade my expectations and find a very cheap 2 ball imitation ? Max spend on 2nd hand is £40

Ebay seems to be the place to buy these.

Plenty recently around £25 to £30 - plus postage of course so around your budget.

Those Cally 3 and 5 woods are still great clubs. No experience of the irons. Don't scrimp on the putter though.

Welcome back JD! :)

Are you joining a club again or just playing for the hell of it?
Did you miss it too much?

I have a White Hot XG #7 (Fang) that I 'won' courtesy of GM/AG that I'm not using at the moment.
I don't want to sell it but you're welcome to an indefinite loan if you want to come over this way for a knock to take it off me? ;)

Thanks for the comments guys (I think). I have no intention of joining a club again though and i'm just going to nomad it. I'm gonna pick up a few games here and there when the weathers nice with mates at different courses , maybe even get to play a few rounds with some of the guys off the forum too. I've got my name down for the Thetford meet so will catch up with a few of you there. I was inspired to go for the older clubs after playing with Bob last year at Bearwood. I think he got his clubs direct from Indiana Jones straight after he raided a tomb!

The thing is though , I got rid of everything because it was the only way I could do a full cleanse and get golf out of my system. A massive detox if you like and only because I did this am I able to come back to it with a clear mind if that makes sense.

Jd, it makes no sense, but then it doesn't have to. Do what you want, when you want. Still think you're bonkers, but then who am I to say. At least I have control over my bowels. Sometimes.

Its a case of I still want to play but not with any sort of handicap or competition pressures anymore. I also dont want to play through the winter when its cold and wet just to try and get my moneys worth out of a membership. This way I can pick and choose my moments and when and where I play with mates who's company I enjoy. Not playing with random members who have no idea of the rules of the game they're playing.

I have full control over my love puffs btw , but I usually like to let them flow when folks are standing over a nasty 3 footer
