We played last year in the winter for £20 I think, a lot of work going on at the time. May consider it again, if the greens are on.

Was just looking at the prices.....they use mats as well dont they

Maybe worth a look! I am guessing the food will be in the cafe....

I knew it had had its problems and the clubhouse wasn't open etc but I couldn't tell you what state it's in financially at the minute. I've only been playing for a couple of months but I've played it a few times, I get on well with the pro there and use the range a couple of times a week. I played there on Friday and there seemed to be quite a bit of activity with the free keepers getting ready for winter I guess
 
I use the range, putting greens and the 9 holer (when I can). I think it would be great value for money if you are starting out. I don't think it will encourage you meeting fellow members, turning up to play swindles, just roll ups and just meeting people... Would certainly try and negotiate a winter deal if your thinking of joining though.
Out of interest, have you had lessons with the pro?!? What's he like?!?
