Things are looking good for the English in Dubai.

Ross Fisher, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Paul Casey heading the leaderboard so far.
Some cracking golf played, Poults is on fire and playing with his usual passion.
Westwood, well, same old same old, steady away and a good solid round.

The one to watch is Martin Kaymer, loks odds on to win the race to Dubai against a faltering GMac. He's impressed me this season (as has MacDowell) Both golfers have certainly come to the fore in terms of quality play.

Should be a good weekend of golf, makes up for the very cold and frozen conditions we're having over here!

Sat and watched most of it this morning. GMac dropping away but the top of the leaderboard is the cream of Euro golf. Its shaping up to be a classic weekend and hopefully a really tight finish.

The course looks in excellent condition too

Poulter played some great stuff to win last week and he could be the form guy. As you say the top of the leaderboard looks strong with Oosthuizen, F Molinari and Jiminez up there too. Looking forward to the weekend.

Think Kaymer deserves to win the Race to Dubai as he's played most of his golf in Europe this year. Hope Westwood actually wins the tournament though to cement his world No.1 status and win this event for the second year running.

Good to see Poults, Casey and Fisher doing well also.

Been following Westwood and Poulter's tweets today. Some very funny comments between them about clothes. driving distances etc. I'd like to see either of them win it but think Kaymer has the OOM sewn up unless GMac can go silly low twice and franky I'm not sure it's really a course you can attack all the time
