Looking Forward to the Rugby at the Weekend

Agreed, must be worrying. Fallen out with the WRFU, top players heading for a payday in France. At least the national team is still strong.

The WRU dont want the regions, they want 100% control of Welsh rugby. It wont be long before every player is contracted to the WRU and we have a full time welsh league again.

you may well have, but your top 20+ players will have gone and it will take a while to get the status quo back

It will be the death of our rugby mate. The problem is the WRU only care about the international revenue and people will pack the Millennium for anything rugby related for at least the next 15 years.

theyre not the only ones but ultimately they are gonna play a bigger price than anyone for some time, very very sad as a theres a hell of a lot of good players in Wales at the moment (im English but Id pay a lot more money to watch Wales than England currently)

Well done to Ulster, better team won on the day with a cracking performance from Pienaar. Just shows the strength in the tournament that your reward for a great win is a match against Saracens. Still, fancy your chances more than ours away against Toulon.

Great time for rugby, 2 weeks until the 6 nations is back

The officials at Allianz Park today should be charged with dereliction of duty... Despite multiple viewings of the key incident they still got their final decision woefully wrong...

Utterly hideous decision and the ref came very close to losing control after it as the players seeked their own retribution. Totally embarassing, may as well can the video ref if that sort of decision is being given

Fortunately the exchange of opinions following the ensuing try was really only handbags and half time intervened allowing for further cooling down time...

Sorry don't know the full in and outs of disciplinary code... Can White still be cited for further action or is it now been deemed as dealt with.... Believe there was a similar incident on Friday which resulted in a red card...

Rugby was a bit one way but was impressed with plastic pitch... Way forward for others?

What happened in the Sarries game ? Saw the red card on Friday - think it was quite clear

Don't know enough of the disciplinary procedure if this can happen as it was 'dealt with' at the time... All be it wrongly...

I'm sure it's not like football and the governing body can and I think they do re look at incidents and can increase punishments

Almost certain it will be reviewed by the disciplinary panel and that he will get a retrospective punishment, usually done early in the following week, seriously disappointing decision from the video ref when he had very very clear evidence in front of him

Good to hear there is a chance of further 'action'...

Was under the impression that the ref himself took final decision with regard the 'sin binning'... Which I thought was the point of reshowing incident on the BIG screen several times over... Maybe wrong on that though...

Was told ref had recently officiated a match that took over an hour to complete a half due to all the video reviews he requested... Not sure how true that is though....

Video ref advised a yellow card as "their is no clear evidence that the boot went to the face" despite everyone elses tv clearly showing that it did

Interesting.... There is a live debate on BBC2 wakes at the moment and one of the region chairmen has stated one of the options is to join the Aviva Premiership.

Thoughts?
