Looking for waterproof shoes? Look no further

Surprised at this view.
Surely its both legally, and, morally correct. In the initial purchase you are buying 12 months of waterproof shoe. Which by replacing the shoes up to the end of the 12 months FJ is honouring. You are not buying an entitlement to a rolling 12 month guarantee.

As far as I know FJ take wear/use into account when giving credit on replacements.

Trust me I have almost ever brand and living is the sunny north west of Ireland playing 12months of year, the only shoe worth chatting about is dry joys tried and tested for many years.

Aql's are the next best

Adidas are like rover cars looked fairly nice coming off the factory floor and even the test drive was ok.. Give it a month and your back in the garage lol.

Their alright for about 3/4 months then they split alot the front at the sides and leak like the titanic.

Had all 3 pairs of mine go in identical place, and tree seeker off here is on he's third set in a year, which is a Shame their like trainers straight out the box

I've had mine for ages and haven't encountered this but I think big del has had 2 pairs do this within weeks

Got my lunar controls in march And my feet have been bone dry through the draught period!!

Have to agree, my Nike Lunar Control's have kept my feet bone dry all year, have just purchased another pair for future use from Snainton Golf at the bargain price of £39.99.:)

My Nike Lunars have been great in the crap weather and ill be sticking with them in future...

My Adiddas ATV'S on the other hand :sbox:

I'll just continue to chuck £20 at Sports Direct for a pair of Dunlop Classics every new season .. been surprised at how comfortable and water resistant (not proof, as feet still get wet) they have been, and I like them over more expensive shoes.

My Adipure's were bought in 09 and haven't let a slever in.

Awesome shoes.

I've never had any problems with adidas (or FJ, Nike, Etonic) shoes letting water in.

Don't splash into big puddles, keep your shoes clean, protect with polish (FJ do a nice bag with brushes & polish) or dubbin, let them dry naturally and don't wear two days in a row.

Basic stuff really

My AQL's were excellent again yesterday in very wet underfoot conditions.

I do look after them also with liquid polish which really keeps the water off, like trying to paint on polythene.

When the shoes get a little older I then use Dubbin.

My Nike Lunar Prevail's failed in their first outing of wet weather so I'll be looking for a lightweight summer shoe soon.

Footjoy Sport are what you want. I got some for Xmas and used them yesterday at a Society meet at Downshire. The course shouldn't have been open but being council run it was. Anyway, I spent all day walking through or standing in puddles as dry bits of fairway were at a Premium and when I finished the shoes were soaked and covered in mud. My socks however were as dry as they were when I put them on in the morning - awesome.

No rubbing or discomfort either, you really can't go wrong.

I have to agree with this 100%.

Although I've never owned the sports, I've had GreenJoys, AQL's, DryJoy Tours and a few others and find them excellent right out of the box.

I did dabble with a pair of Adidas a while back. They were about as water proof as a tea bag, despite being guaranteed!

I think this thread shows exactly what the truth is about shoes.

- they are all waterproof for some people
- they all fail for some people
- each shoe is comfortable only to the person wearing them
- buying a shoe on someone else's recommendation does not guarantee they are comfortable , or waterproof !!

I probably won't even consider buying a pair of Foot Joy shoes until I'm about 50-60 years of age #grandadshoes ha ha :ears:

Right now prepare to be jumped on :mmm:

Runnnnn!!! 🏃
