That's given me something else to think about now, whack one of them next to the drying rack thing and see if that helps.
It's how we dry most of our clothes in winter. We have a spare room. All clothes go on a rack thing and 24 hours later they are dry. Also, our house is a lot warmer in the winter as there is little or no condensation with the dehumidifier on all the time.

We have had our 10kg Zanussi Lindo condensing dryer for about 7 years, it’s been faultless, we also have the dry-soon drying rack with the cover and that is great too… no problems with humidity as I have a decent fan in the utility room.

Instead of just the condensing dryer we need - we're looking at our rather aging washing machine and thinking - well what about a decent washer/dryer...thoughts?

A bit late on to this, but we have a Beko Heat Pump dryer. We've had it for a couple of years and whilst it does take a bit longer than our old vented one, it uses a lot less energy and doesn't need a hole drilled in the wall. The water trap is in the same location as a detergent drawer in a washing machine, and the filters are at the front and bottom of the dryer so easy to access.
We also have a dehumidifer that we use quite a lot and dries the clothes quite quickly.

If you have the space, 2 seperates every time. There isn't a washer dryer that can dry a full load of washing, it's physically impossible.
Cheapest option (and most sensible) in the long run is a decent capacity washing machine and matching dryer.

Used the dryer 4 times now and I'm so annoyed I've wasted years rotating clothes on radiators. Great bit of kit.

You never had a dryer before? I thought was just a heat pump one!

Would never be without one..sod radiators, the issues drying clothes inside your house can cause (mold wise) is unreal

Ironically if doing you need to run a dehumidifier which you might aswell just use a dryer anyways

Nah never had one at all, we had a clothes horse and made do with the heating. Took 3 days to dry anything 🤣

I think it's been established on here that our houses washing schedule out performs a dry cleaners lol 🤣

Think we had 4 washes wash and dried yesterday (one kid was sick over their bed) overnight was another one

If we had to wait for things to dry I'd need 7 clothes horses 🤣

Just checked 19th September 2023 the washing machine arrived (after the old one gave up) since then it's done 1027 washes 🤔🤣
