I quite like the London Club (both courses), and although it drains well in winter, for me £100 is too steep to play there in winter. That sort of money will get you on a championship links in much better condition.

My sister lives in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

She goes banzai when I refer to that as London!

Which links for under £100 would you suggest @sunshine ?

I was going to suggest Princes also!

If you’re going all the way from Wales to the Kent London club, it’s only an hour further down to Sandwich.

But stay in Wales and play Porthcawl for £100 from 1 November:

Winter golf on the International? What a bleak place to be if there's no sunshine, looking like rain at any moment and the wind - oh, did I mention how exposed it can be? I've done it twice (second time only because I thought the 1st must have been a one off) and never, ever again. I wouldn't go even if someone paid for me.

Now, The Heritage on the other hand as a member's guest at any other time - now you're talking (y)
