Lofted up and not sure if I want to loft down again

If the op is not a low single digit handicap his short game needs some serious work.

Oh yeah I often end up pitching it short of duffing it. Trust me it's so annoying hitting a lovely drive then to miss short, then duff a chip and then 3 putt!
